Glassdoor released its 2015 report of the best places to work, based off reviews and ratings submitted to the site. These top 10 companies have a few things in common when it comes to what makes employees happy. Some of the most common themes include a popular and well-liked CEO, competitive benefits, strong 401k programs, ample maternity and paternity leave, and even free snacks and lunches.

Whether you're unhappy at your job or are curious to see how your company measures up, here are the 10 best companies you can work for, according to Glassdoor.

Air BnB

Founded in 2008, Air BnB took first place on Glassdoor's Best Places to Work survey for 2015. It's located in San Francisco, Calif., and operates as a home-sharing service allowing users to rent out their own homes, or rent houses and apartments from other people as an alternative to hotels and motels.

It has an overall rating of 4.6 on Glassdoor, 95 percent of respondents would recommend the company to a friend and the CEO, Brian Chesky, has a 98 percent approval rating. Employees listed autonomy and a positive working environment as two of the major benefits of working at Air BnB. There are also some interesting benefits, such as in-house yoga and generous vacation days so that employees can actually use Air BnB's service.

Bain & Company, a management consulting firm Located in Boston, specializes in advising businesses, nonprofit organizations and governments. On its Glassdoor profile, the company states it believes the reason it has continuously ranked as one of the best places to work is thanks to its supportive environment and dedication to helping employees feel they are a positive impact on the world.

It pulled in a 4.6 rating on Glassdoor, with 992 reviews, and a 100 percent approval rating for the CEO Bob Bechek. Additionally, of those who rated the company on Glassdoor, 95 percent said they would recommend Bain & Company to a friend. Reviews reveal a company that takes care of its employees with references to great maternity leave, substantial time off and comprehensive benefits.

Located in Foster City, Calif, Guidewire specializes in building software products for property and casualty insurance companies. The company touts itself as being honest, customer-centric and focused on delivering quality products.

The company earned a 4.5 overall ranking on Glassdoor, with 93 percent of respondents saying they would recommend the company to a friend; the CEO, Marcus Ryu also has a high approval rating at 97 percent. Employees cite a number of benefits to working at Guidewire, including flexible scheduling and a dedicated and caring staff.

This Cambridge, Mass., company was founded in 2006 and focuses on creating and providing inbound marketing software for products for all aspects of marketing. It's products range from publishing software, social media marketing services as well as reporting and analytics, just to name a few.

Hubspot earned a 4.4 overall rating based off 257 reviews, 88 percent would recommend the company to a friend and 95 percent approve of the CEO, Brian Halligan. Reviewers pointed to the maternity and paternity leave, a fun working environment, strong growth and the fact that Hubspot pays the deductible on employee's health insurance.

Facebook, located in Menino Park, Calif, has been around since 2004 and quickly grew to one of the largest social networks on the planet. The company prides itself on constantly evolving and finding ways to give back to the world. Not to mention that the CEO Mark Zuckerberg made waves when he recently announced he is taking two months off for paternity leave.

The social networking company earned a 4.4 rating on Glassdoor, with 90 percent stating they'd recommend the company to a friend and 97 percent saying they approve of the CEO, Mark Zuckerberg. Employees reference the generous maternity and paternity leave -- which goes up to four months -- as well as free lunch and snacks and competitive insurance offerings.

Headquartered in Mountain View, Calif., LinkedIn is a professional network where users can connect with colleagues, network, find jobs, list jobs and further their careers. Basically, where you would share pictures of your pets and kids on Facebook, you'll share your resume and work experience on LinkedIn.

LinkedIn earned a 4.4 rating on Glassdoor and 88 percent of those who reviewed the company say they would recommend the company to a friend. The CEO, Jeff Weiner, also has a high approval rating at 97 percent. Some of the most mentioned perks are similar to other sites, including a strong 401k plan, generous maternity and paternity leave, commuter reimbursement programs and free lunch and snacks.

Boston Consulting Group (BCG), a Boston-based company -- as the name suggests -- is no stranger to accolades for happy employees; it also made the list of Fortune's 100 best companies to work for in 2015. BCG specializes in advising private, public and nonprofit organizations and it's considered to be one of the top management firms.

BCG earned a 4.2 rating on Glassdoor, with 87 percent of respondents saying they would recommend the company to a friend. The CEO, Rich Lesser, also has a high rating, with 97 percent reporting that they approve of his leadership. Some of the most cited benefits that employees enjoy include low copays, ample vacation and paid time off as well as 100 percent matching on your 401k, whether or not you pay your contribution.

Google, probably best-known for its search engine, prides itself on not being a conventional company, even though it's a large organization. The tech giant stays committed to maintaining the agility and culture of a small business, albeit its status as an influential worldwide technology leader.

The Mountain View, Calif.- based company earned a 4.3 rating on Glassdoor, with 91 percent of respondents saying they would recommend the company to a friend. Following the trend of other companies on this list, the CEO Sundar Pichai has a high approval rating of 93 percent. Employees note free lunch and snacks, a good health plan and a strong 401k program as some of the best perks of working at Google.

Located in Saint Louis, Nestle Purina Petcare has been in business since 1894, making it the oldest company on this list. The manufacturing company's mission is based off its founder William Danforth's dedication to integrity, passion, expertise and performance as the keys to "making good lives better."

Nestle Purina PetCare earned a 4.3 rating on Glassdoor with 92 percent of respondents saying they would recommend the company to a friend. The CEO, Joseph R. Sivewright, is apparently well liked, with a 93 percent approval rating. Employees cite flexibility, competitive paid time off, great health benefits and a good 401k program as some of the best aspects of working at Nestle Purina Petcare.

The CEO, Spencer Rascoff, also has a high approval rating, with 97 percent responding that they approve of his leadership. Employees point to competitive maternity and paternity leave, great benefits and unlimited vacation and paid time off as just a few of the reasons they love working at Zillow.
