A gun store owner who displays his "patriotism" in the form of a giant Confederate flag has two words for Muslims who want to patronize his establishment: "You're not welcome."
OK, maybe that's three words. Who's counting? Certainly not Andy Hallinan, owner of Florida Gun Supply in Inverness, Fla. He's busy making YouTube videos declaring Muslims persona non Allah at his weapons store, while hastening to assure us that he is not a racist and "not intolerant of others."
Well, except maybe Obama. And members of a certain religion that most certainly isn't peaceful, nor full of tolerance, love and hope. The shootings at the Tennessee military recruiting center have prompted Hallinan to institute some "drastic" policy changes. To wit:
- Effective immediately, concealed carry classes (for non-Muslims) are free
- Also effective immediately, Florida Gun Supply's shooting range is open to the (non-Muslim) public for free
- Finally (and most dramatically): "Now I have a moral and legal responsibility to ensure the safety of all patriots in my community. And so effective immediately, I'm declaring Florida Gun Supply as a Muslim-free zone. I will not arm and train those that wish to do harm to my fellow patriots."
This actually is clever marketing. Inverness is 93% white, according to the 2010 census, so we're guessing the number of regular Muslim customers Hallinan now will be turning away to total about, oh, zero. But his bold stand to protect his fellow Confederate flag-waving patriots could attract some new business. And produce a new crop of paranoid concealed-carry idiots. Great.
