Dear Mr. Trump,
On behalf of the entire publishing industry, The Earl of Frit humbly requests that you permanently run for president, even when there's no presidential election on the horizon. Even after Obama imposes martial law and finally confesses that you were right all along about his phony birth certificate. Because you are single-handedly making our jobs more entertaining, if not more meaningful.
Yours in servitude,
The Earl of Frit
In response to NBC announcing on Monday that it was cutting ties with "Celebrity Apprentice" host and immigrant basher Donald Trump, the GOP presidential candidate had a few words to say about the television network that condemned his "derogatory remarks" about Mexicans (via E! Online):
"Long ago I told NBC that I would not being doing The Apprentice because I am running for President in order to Make our Country Great Again.
"If NBC is so weak and so foolish to not understand the serious illegal immigration problem in the United States, coupled with the horrendous and unfair trade deals we are making with Mexico, then their contract violating closure of Miss Universe/Miss USA will be determined in court."
Besides dumping "Celebrity Apprentice," NBC also said it no longer would broadcast the Miss Universe and Miss USA pagents, both of which are owned by Trump. Spanish-language station Univision last week announced it would not broadcast next month's Miss USA pageant.
Trump is not done yet:
"Furthermore, they will stand behind lying Brian Williams, but won't stand behind people that tell it like it is, as unpleasant as that may be."
OK, if NBC doesn't broadcast a live one-on-one interview of Trump by Brian Williams, they shouldn't be in show business.
