'Is that fake orca really supposed to scare us?'

The best way to chase off hundreds of annoying sea lions from crowded dock areas is with an artificial killer whale. Or maybe not.

Officials in an Oregon community have commissioned a 32-foot artificial orca to scare the sea lions from their sunning perches on the dock.

The fake orca, which includes a human driver inside, actually looks pretty convincing in the video below. Unfortunately, a passing boat caused the orca to capsize (the human inside was unharmed), rendering it somewhat less scary to the onlooking sea lions.

More unfortunately, the video doesn't include the fail.
