Carly Fiorina should recycle 'demon sheep' campaign ad for GOP nomination battle

This could be you, Rubio.

We have an excellent suggestion for former HP chief executive Carly Fiorina, who announced today that she is seeking the Republican nomination for U.S. president in the 2016 election.

OK, here it is: Don't waste one dime on producing campaign commercials attacking your GOP rivals. Why? Because you've already created the greatest negative political TV advertisement in history: The "demon sheep" ad from your failed campaign in 2010 to become a U.S. senator from California.

The thing is, while you eventually lost in the general election to incumbent Barbara Boxer, the demon sheep ad was a tremendous success. It enabled you to defeat GOP rival Tom Campbell for the nomination and paint him as a "demon sheep."

And it worked for good reason: It is the Citizen Kane of political attack ads -- well, if Citizen Kane featured a grown man crawling on his hands and knees in a pasture while wearing a sheep outfit with crazy eyes.  Which it would have, had Orsen Wells not successfully fought for a larger budget.

The beauty of the ad -- that is, aside from the unparalleled production values -- is you can put anyone in the sheep costume: Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz ... just plug in the demon! It's like the "Hitler reacts" of political attack ads.

Behold a classic...
