The Lollipop wait is over for a couple of big-screened phones on Verizon. The Galaxy Note 4 and LG G2 are finally getting their turn at all that Material Design goodness.

There are quite a few updates out there this week, including multiple Sony devices and T-Mobile’s variant of the LG G3.

They’re part of our weekly roundup of major software updates for the biggest devices, including phones and tablets on U.S. carriers, unlocked phones, and even wearables. Making sure your device is running the latest available software is a good housekeeping practice, ensuring you have the latest features with fewer bugs and gaping security holes.

Verizon

Galaxy Note 4: It was quite the wait, but Lollipop is finally here for everybody’s favorite phablet. Verizon says the update includes all the Material Design features of Android 5.0, along with advanced calling and some additional widgets for Samsung’s apps.

LG G2: It’s always good to see a previous-generation phone getting some love. Verizon details all the changes, which blend LG’s custom interface with splashes of Material Design.

T-Mobile

LG G3: You’re finally getting Lollipop, but there’s a catch. If you want it right now you have to download and install it with LG’s update tool. If that sounds too cumbersome, you can wait for an over-the-air update, which T-Mobile says is coming April 7.

AT&T

HTC One M7: All the attention may be on the HTC One M9, but fortunately the original is scoring Lollipop. AT&T posted all the details, which actually entails two updates. One is for memory optimization, and a second brings the upgrade to Android 5.0.

Sprint

Galaxy S5 Sport: Your rugged smartphone is finally getting Lollipop. Be on the lookout for an over-the-air update from Sprint, which brings Android 5.0 and the usual device optimizations.
